PITCHES
Mark Wolfe once again single handed marked two full size pitches and three junior size last saturday. We are still looking for a willing volunteer to assist with pitch marking. Can i ask all of you to think about this job and what it would mean to your squad/team if you did not have a marked rugby pitch to play on.
Please can we have some volunteers to help Mark as we have five pitches that require regular marking and they are used by all age groups no pitches no rugby!!
Mark will be there at 9am saturday morning please feel free to join him if you would like to find out how the machine works and offer some help.
Equipment Container - following concerns about things not being put away and secured. Please can all coaches take responsibility for the equipment they use and ensuring at the end of sessions the container and changing rooms are locked and secure. U16 DUTY THIS WEEK
REGISTRATION
Sarah Curtis - continutes to take registration forms and fees - as of Oct 1st the RFU de-registered any player who had not been RE-registered by a club. Therefore if we have not had a form and not had the fee they are not members of the club and not eligible to play competitive rugby and are NOT INSURED. Please keep an eye on your lists and any new faces that turn up.
INFORMATION FOR COACHES
RFU Rugby Ready Course – Everybody involved in coaching, refereeing and playing rugby needs a sense of safe practice. The IRB Rugby Ready programme is intended to raise awareness of good practice and help stakeholders manage the inherent risks of the sport by putting appropriate safeguards in place.
The course lasts for three hours and is practical-based. There is no formal assessment
At the conclusion of the course you will have gained:
· An understanding of how to deliver a safe and enjoyable practical session
· Knowledge of how to coach and improve contact skills & particularly the tackle
· Knowledge of how to coach and improve scrummage engagement skills
· Knowledge of contact skills
· Certification
The rugby ready course is a pre requisite for attending an RFU Level 1 course.
