Worcester U15s 15 pts, Malvern U15s 12 pts |
An excellent performance from the Malvern U15 squad who kept their discipline despite the poor behaviour of the opposition which eventually led to a Worcester player being served with a yellow card for repeated offences and poor attitude towards the referee and fellow players.
Andy Kilmaster followed up worcesters first try with a well support series of rucking and retained position which allowed him to power through the worcester back line to touch down. Reece King added another two points with a tricky conversion. Worcester returned with a well prectised move from a penalty which saw them creep ahead again.
Malvern did not allow their heads to go down and continued to battle putting together some lovely periods of flowing rugby when the whistle allowed. They were rewarded when the ball eventually landed in the hands of winger Rob Flint who dodged and sprinted to touch down and nose Malvern into the lead.
What followed was a very frustrating event for any coach and indeed for the players, Malvern defended their line only to see a try awarded to Worcester from a blatant dropped ball and knock on over the line. Despite the obvious disappointment the squad take away some lessons from todays game ahead of their away game on 15th November in the North Mids Cup V Bham Solihull.
